The attackers claim that you as an artist should be bashfully, meekly and politely accepting the abasement inflicted upon you, they insult and goad others for their personal entertainment on dA or outside (artist-confessions etc.), they pick on words to mangle and twist your comments so that meaning is distorted making you look bad, they belittle you and your defenders standing up for themselves when the attackers become even more vulgar, vicious and infantile. You're being constantly reminded of your tiniest mistakes as your every flaw is highlighted and inflated to the infinity on every occasion.

INTRODUCTION

In the tale of the Pied Piper, we have a village overrun with rats. A man arrives dressed in clothes of pied (a patchwork of colors) and offers to rid the town of the vermin. Long Rant AheadAs unoriginal as the title is, you're probably expecting a silly thing. Well, fear then, because it's no such thing.
Those who know me are well aware Ocean simply doesn't do angst or public rants for that matter. Heck, I don't even like to bother my best friend and she knows how private I am with things, so I try to refrain from ranting often.

No, it doesn't. Photographing a picture of your cuts to show to the world is selfish, and supports nobody. It only makes other people want to do it. Stop posting pics of your harm, stop attention seeking, and try a new way of support - without graphic pictures that trigger you off.

About Art as prize for Raffle and Lotteries

I'm recycling this old journal for posting something about the lotteries and raffles on Deviantart, that were stated as "Outlaws" by the community opps in this journal here: [link]

On that time some deviantarts (and me too) were in doubt if a art as prize, such, drawings, sketch, paintings etc would not be allowed. Me and some other deviants even asked on the comments on that very same journal, but we got no reply.
So i tried to ask about this in notes to 4 different admins here on deviantart that make part of the Community Opps. They are $fourteenthstar, $Moonbeam13, ~tachy and $ewm but they gave me no reply since July 10th. So by last i tried to ask in the Help Desk and here is the aswer of $realitysquared (in request number #376025) :

"Thank you for contacting deviantART customer support, your ticket has been transferred to me for assistance.
As far as lotteries or raffles are concerned the only real restriction is that you may not offer cash, currency or deviantART Points as a prize. Non-monetary or non-Points prizes are typically acceptable.
I would not, however, offer pageviews as a form of prize as deviantART employs systems which will detect and block certain levels of artificial pageviews so you may find it difficult or impossible to deliver on such a prize.
